Crimson Dove

Crimson Dove

Crimson dove
Lonesome wings everlasting winter
Rain falls like glass tears
Delicate heavy shatters a million tiers
Salvation aches in the emptiness
Unburdened into the solitude of numb
Beneath the beautiful diaster
Slumbers rumble of tomorrow's past
Blood moon shimmers crimson tears
Hope lingers from the pain in the shadows
Falling until no falling
Revelations at the church of heart
Within the delicate lays the strength
Broken wings heal under Yggdrasil
Fly again
Crimson dove

I pinned this poem for the top notch imagery. I have a suspicion that your writings may be on other sites such as All Poetry? Anyway...I really enjoyed this piece. I did have to Google 'Yggdrasil'. Norse mythology...a healing tree.
I like it.

I am glad you connected to the imagery and yes that's right, Yggdrasil, tree of life, healing. I don't have poems anywhere else I think. Appreciate your review, thanks heaps

No problem, I got the vibe from your writing that you had plenty of experience.

I look forward to reading more  - Syd

That's great, I've always liked writing between lyrics and poems. I definitely like to lean into imagery and paint a picture through words. Thank you
