Poem -

Crown

Some days it feels like the pains just too much

You can't breath

You’ve had enough

Your crown slips

You just want to give up

Spent so long blocking others out

Trying so hard to never be done like that again

You sold a piece of your heart

And told yourself it didn't matter

After years you seem so cold

And no one understands

It’s what happens when you once gave your all

And all you have left is screaming silently

Tears falling down your face

Sliding to the floor of an empty room all alone

Cause how could you ever let anyone catch you fall apart,

Seeing them rips and tears through a very damaged, broken heart

It’s an explosion of frustration and years left wasted

So much you bottled up

In this moment with your minds racing you wonder how you'll do it

How you're ever gonna make it

Thinking crazy thoughts while you're pulling at your hair

Crumbling just completely coming apart

Then you pull yourself together

Taking a deep breath you dust off your crown

And move forward like you never really tripped up

'cause the truth is it’s only just one of those awful moments

We’ve all been there

Even when we don't want to own it
