Poem -

Crowns and executions

Crowns fallen off purple plushed pillows,

Checks bounced from all the major banks,

Coins dropped from idle hands onto marble floors,

Love tossed out of windows and doors like trash meant to be nothing more than trash,

Euros bankrolled to make up for extreme debt,

Pearls dropped from from silver cords onto hands demanding nothing less than fully paid debts doubling by the days till they're buried by debt and years of regret,

Axes swung upon heads with less shame than deserved,

Gulliotines remaining unused for days and months without food cause people to talk,

Politicians strung to pillars of marble rather than pillars of power,

Dead kings dragged through halls and courtyards drenching white roses blood red,

Royalists lined for executions,

Ready.

Aim.

Freedom!

Bodies falling into pits no proper ways to die these days only time, when you can't tell the time has it been months? Days? Years? We no longer remember,

Only know what's left a broken people who revere swimming in gold

Flying on our jets to parties

Keeping ours and ours alone wealthy

Only marriages between these houses of dignity do we allow
