Crush

First word she spoke
I think I stopped breathing,
We sipped our champagne
And I sat unbelieving, that
I'd only known her 4 hours
As the night got devoured
By chat, laughter and cheers,
I smile and feel like I'd knownΒ
Her for years. In common
We had so much, the ache
Of the coming goodbye,Β
Made stronger by a kiss
On the cheek, the touch.
