Crusoe

Crusoe

My message in a bottle is out there…
The tide changed you see, when I didn’t.
Taking her with it, out into the open and deep.
Deeper; darkly silken, the current beneath too much.
Burnished by roiling waves; their whispers tempt.

She gleams in the sun, a pretty prism/prison, but...
Pulled by the promises from the moon, she then...
…then nothing.
I DID NOTHING but watch her…
…drift...
        …drift...
              …Drift…

Towards the horizon then snapping it.
Unsinkable, nearly free, but beautifully lost.
Washing upon a shore, safe, but… … ... … … …. … … … …distant.
Until whimsy or stormy weather dislodge my love,
My message in a bottle…
…Keeps her secrets unread.
