~ CRY ~
Cry brother,
For inside I die
Dear brother
Can you sing the jazz
The cry
Of the longing
Inside the trees of glimmer
And the discontent
Of government
The cries of discontented mothers
Bleeding fathers
And the wartime cries
Of disillusionment
It never pans out
It always cries out
To family
And loyalties charm
Where racism
Eventually bleeds through
That ugly net
Of discontent
And the most violent
Of reprisals
In the night
In the bedrooms
Of strangers
Never met....

Even if we sometimes dont really like what we hear - truth is always paramount..the delivery of it can be tempered but the essence MUST be without contradiction- I love your social conscience Tony and your fearlessness in speaking out when things are being moulded/changed/distrorted- great piece!Β as always!Β xx
