Cry No More

I was lying there for an hour,
Thinking about what you said
You said, "Our love is forever"
But love isn't forever,
It's not like being dead
There are things I need to tell you,
There is a lot I need to know,
But as the cold winds blew
They said, "Forget about it, So !"
So, I sat there listening to Dylan,
And poetry filled my ears,
And it woke the boy inside me,
And soon my eyes were filled with tears, 
As I sat on the river bed
Thoughts flew across my mind
And I thought of the past
Which was so bitter and kind
And cold nostalgia filled the air
As I tried to find,
What made me what I am ?
Was I foolish or was I blind ?
Today, I'm a different man with different thoughts
I look and sigh when people cry
Which reminds me of yesterday
When things were happier and simpler,
Which makes me want to leave today
And fly with you to another land,
But reality kicks in,
And I realize I'm not holding your hand
Then I see the sun set,
The beauty strikes me to the core
And as Darkness hid my face,
He said, "Cry no more, Cry no more, Cry no more"
