It comes back to bite you
It savages not just you
It cares not how you see you
Freely it wrecks you
With this cup treachery recoils
With this drink
Sin rotates along its axis
And bites unintendedly
With this act foolish causes
Bring woe that inaction
Would have cured
One day you will learn your fate
That you disregarded as you plotted ruin
One day you will ask for forgiveness
To relieve the pain your actions cause you
One day you will be pushed to make amends
It might one day be too late
After pursuing a moving target
That is disguised so well
That friend can become foe
And foe unintended friend
Lips may open to reveal
A tongue that the Garden of Eden
Made us despise
Eyes may shed tears
That feelings so bitter may disregard
Memories may burn reconciliation
That unbridled former hate
Did nought to foster
The prize is no prize
The end has ruined all
The game has damaged
The fruits have rotted

I am reading a book called - Shakespeare's common prayers: the book of common prayer and the Elizabethan age by Daniel swift and the seeds of the poem came into my mind as I was on the bus so I wrote it in the back of the bus. I typed it up today in the lovely surrounds of vestry hose museum walthamstow..google it , the garden is well peaceful.
