The Cycle

It's a luxurious surrender.

A dessert laced with shame.

My battery dies.

Purity gets postponed.

I'm back to square one.

Defeat gets monotonous.

This is my thousandth attempt.

As I'm refraining, I'm recharging.

I start feeling cleaner, clearer, and energized.

But after a while of abstinence, I experience more frustration than I do benefits.

Overwhelmed by temptation, I give up.

But it's funny because after I throw in the towel, I regret.
