DAD SHAPES

We have broken the moon
again
Oh, can you fix it we cry
On my way now...
There are smiles in your sigh
It is three in the morning, yet
You rise and you stand
Hammer drill saw nails, and...
love in your hands
The black dark looms close
Like black tears on the street
We, seven careless children
Shattered moons at our feet
Help arrives quickly, red vans
in the night
There are dad shapes inside
Doors and hearts open wide
Can you fix it we beg, can you
put back the moon
Don't worry, you say
It will all be fine soon
I'll make it alright, because
That's what dads do, now
Lets sort out this mess
Put the moon back for you
You fix up that moon with
Dependable hands
You mould that old moon to
The shapes of red van
You polish a shine and you
Raise that moon high
We stand safe in light cos our
dad's fixed the sky
Don't worry you say
It will all be fine soon
Just give me a ring when
You next break that moon
I'll be here in a jiffy to fix it for
you
Ill be here by your side, because
That's what dads do
