Daddys Heart

Daddys Heart

When I was young
He’d sing to me
In any voice he could
He made me laugh
He played with me
Our bond was understood
He taught me how to be heart strong
And keep both feet on ground
So I could stand up for myself
If ever he weren’t around
I looked more like him every day
Big brown eyes and long brown curl
Nothing else could ever replace
The resemblance in his girl
Our bond was deeper than his love
I was my daddy’s heart
And now he’s with me all the time
We will never be apart
