Tell ya what
I wanna hear,
Humming rhymes
vibrating clear
Tell ya what
I wanna see
All you Good Folk
dance with me
Dance with me
Dance with me
All the way
to world's end
Trance with me
Trance with me
Let not the Lies
begin again
Enter to
Nirvana quick
Not the band
but Life's big trick
See The Now
and go Home laughing
All that died
are at Home dancing
Death's a joke
Life's Great Illusion
The seed which sprouts
weeds of delusion
A catastrophe
some would say
You'd think there'd be
a better Way
Perhaps there is
Perhaps there ain't
Beats this poet
Ask a saint
All I know
is what I See
All you Good Folk
Dance With Me

4 days hence, I turn the blessed age of 52. At around the age of 11 and 12, I was my little hometown's best BreakDancer. Not the county's best, mind ya, but I had some skills, and I always like to give a shout out to that Awesome Diva Miss Grace Jones for singin' 'bout the most sacred form of slavery any boy or girl could ever be bound to; I'm talkin' 'bout her 4 words that define what it's like to always be a bloody, dirty, dancing Dervish: 'Slave to the Rhythm!!!'
I still enter the ritual of electronic dance and float in the rhythm of emptiness, make no mistake; though I haven't any photos yet of the deed. I did choose this photo, however, as the t-shirt I'm wearing brings back a memory of another qoute about dance and music that really just hit the nail on the head, as far as articulately describing my favorite band - Skinny Puppy - with just one line. This was simply an ad, waaay back in 1988 or '89 in a Transworld Skateboard magazine, I reckon promoting their new album, but this one line rang so true to me, I've simply never forgotten it. It simply said - 'Skinny Puppy: Dance music, as hard as the world we live in.'
p.s. Since 2008 I've been known as Da Honky Wit Seven Names, which are consecutively, Eric Kristian Willey Gentle Shokya Candalla Dragona. Me friends call me Gentle.
Hello Shokya...this is a lovely write, lyrical...I imagine it to music and fantastic rhymes ...it has personality x
I say thank ya, Marion. I'm very glad you like. Yep, I patiently await the day when I find me the musicians that are gonna put some badass First-Class tunes to me poetics. We're gonna set 5 billion world systems to trembling; exquisite vibrations!!!
