DANCING WITH MARILYN

Ā
I got to dance with Marilyn before she was a star
After we went for a drink in a deserted barĀ
Our paths met on the subway quite by chance
Both looking for fun times and possibly romanceĀ

Marilyn told me of her hopes and ambitionsĀ
Her failures at so many movie auditionsĀ
One day I said your luck I know will changeĀ
I think of that night now as so weird and strangeĀ

For Marilyn became a star and I became a sinner
Ended up robbing a bank to pay for my dinnerĀ
I'm left to rot here in this really stinky cellĀ
The stories of Marilyn to save me from hell
