DANCING WITH MARILYN

I got to dance with Marilyn before she was a star
After we went for a drink in a deserted bar
Our paths met on the subway quite by chance
Both looking for fun times and possibly romance

Marilyn told me of her hopes and ambitions
Her failures at so many movie auditions
One day I said your luck I know will change
I think of that night now as so weird and strange

For Marilyn became a star and I became a sinner
Ended up robbing a bank to pay for my dinner
I'm left to rot here in this really stinky cell
The stories of Marilyn to save me from hell
