Poem -

Daniel

Turn your hat backwards
meet me by the ocean.
On kissing rock
we can lay our souls bare,
Abandon all hesitation
throw ourselves into the mist.

We will run along the sand
and camp in salt air.
We will turn andΒ twist
and bury ourselves in this recklessness.
We will burn bright and furiously.

I live in a wooden house
with a family that isn't mine.
Between these feathered walls
weΒ watch stars collide.
I will never be sure of you,
But you're sure of me.
I guess that's nice.
