DAPPLES + DIPS

The intricacy is not lost to
me, though
The sunlight has dimmed
In the place I now sit
 
And you leaf... are still green
Are still vibrant in sheen
Your luster not lacking, not
one little bit, though
The sunlight has dimmed
In the place I now sit

But I see plain the earth force
Am aware of life's song
And if my eyes are dim
sighted, well
It is I, not you, wrong

There's still a joy in the
knowing
Of its dances and flits
Of its intricate shadows and
dapples and dips

Its just the light has grown
dimmer
In the place I now rest
Though, there's a comfort in shade and a world that is less
