Dare I Stretch The Truth

Dare I, stretch the truth
And when in afternoon's late light
Beneath this tree to swell a smile
In considering the God in things
Would it have been worth while
Politic, cautious, or meticulous
To stretch the truth
Through all their minds
That they might embrace
God's good light
Like so many living things...
Perhaps, in evening's waning light
And I have glimpsed
The moment of my greatest flickering
I shall wear white, and testify
As darkness grows ever nearer
And I have known the eyes
With which to pierce the night
That God might be seen
By owls...
Dare I, stretch the truth
Beneath the choir
To stir the holy desire
That we All
Love
One another...

The imagery is fantastic, it really has a want and need feel to it, a testimony of devotion

My Dear Brother Poet Tony,
S......T......R......E......T......C......H The Truth as far as it will go
For you are an Angel of God
You do it not with malice in your heart
But with the love of mankind in your soul
It is up to interpretation where the truth "Lies"
But I know that I would always my trust
In the hands of the "Honorable" Tony Taylor
