"DARK ANGEL"

It comes as a vision in tattoo's adorned
And whispers of what could become of we
I listened as she lifted temptation
As though it were a fruit
From a long forbidden tree
When my heart of hearts
Spoke to me....
The beginning of all temptation
Lies in an indecisive mind
Just as a rudderless ship
Is buffeted between the vines
So the negligent and incompetent man
Smitten by many a temptation
Forgets what he can actually accomplish
Through Holy contemplation
A man's spiritual progress isn't put to the test
By trials and tribulations
But by resolutely bearing up beneath them
Revealing a divine imagination
Like a lightning rod of Love
He can light up his soul
By letting the truth, in ALL things
Be told
And when the beauty of a woman
Gives rise to temptation
He must follow his heart to the innermost
Outermost part of his soul
The place where God holds the truth
And helps to shed light
On what's right
And whispers of Faith
That help men create
Love
In an Angel
Of
Temptation.....

Cherie Sumner!!.......I've commented twice on this and lost both of them!...........your comments are so wonderfully thorough...............and so "spot on" that I find myself looking forward to them......... I am so lucky to have you in my life..........I LOVE YOU sweetheart.............thank you so much for these lovely and insightful words...............hugs-n-smiles................by the way...........you're a translucent Angel!!.........sweet perfection gorgeous!!
My brother, where have you been all my life...I`ve always had trouble with that temptation thing; way too spontaneous for my own good, at times...your wisdom is profound my friend; Zen like insight into things that so easily beset...weaving sound philosophy into silken poetry without skipping a beat...love the confidence that is apparent in the way you say things...admire that greatly
I have an uncle back in triniland who was (and still is) a very persuasive story-teller and self-proclaimed philosopher; I would sit speechless for hours listening to him when I was a boy completely mesmerized...he got very emotional when he spoke; angry at times even and captured my devotion beyond words; even though he said some caustic things (as I look back now) everything he said seemed perfect to me back then; almost gospel...then I grew up and became cynical and a little wiser, and found many holes and flaws in what he said and eventually saw him as a bit of a lunatic, to be honest, and for my own sanity, I had to dismiss much of what he taught me; sadly...but seeing that I am no longer a child Mr. Taylor, I do find much practical value in your words, very inspiring write
