Dark Ends

Dark Ends

Falling deep into an animosity

For deep is the world falling into

A sick curiosity

One in which we've poked

A strange sleeping bear

A one in which we've

Choked on our own rope

But never cared

And once again I'm pushed

Into this dark alley

Where here the demons roam

I won't linger too long

Just let me finish my poem

You've contrived a crisis

Birthed one of mankind's downfalls

Praising vulgar vices

And now your so afflicted

You've no clue that your addicted

To this sick indeed a sickness

That so cruelly dims

Your brightness

Exactly what grim likeness

Have we become
