Poem -

dark haired + spangled

Do not think of him as winter
For he was summer born and
hated snow
Think of him thus...
As dark haired and spangled
For the frost yet to come
He had still yet to know

Think well of his glitter, a loved
sunbeam all through
Of those buttercup child days
Before any knew

And fill not with sadness
At the knowledge of frost
At a sunbeam extinguished
At the agonised loss...no...

Regard him as summer
Ever unscarred by frost
Living buttercup child days
Where none yet is lost

This read beautifully, I particularly enjoyed the ending , focusing on the warmth and hopefulness .
