Poem -

The Dark Truth

A metaphor to fit my life
Well that would be easy.
Try to imagine this
A heart racing,
High velocity run
Through the forest in the dark.
A blind sighted trip
Through wind winded trees,
And the crackling of leafs.
Fear of the eyes
That hide in the mist of the breeze
All trying to get a hold of me.
I try not to speak
I try not to breath.
I'm not religious
But I pray that they don't reach me
Running with speed
But nothing to reach
Nothing I can clearly see.
So metaphorically speaking
This is the life I live in.

Good write. Thanks for sharing. I like the below lines.

Fear of the eyes
That hide in the mist of the breeze
All trying to get a hold of me.
I try not to speak
I try not to breath.
