Darkness falls as the Sun sets 

Cloaking the land in black 

Darkness holds the mystery of secrets 

That reveals the story hidden deep 

You try to hide in the far corners of your mind 

That shadows your heart 

Awakening the demons inside

Shredding your soul tearing it apart 

As night closes in we face our fear 

Challenging the monsters we battle 

The war within hidden in the deepest of night 

Darkness brings your pain and misery 

Darkness can play with your emotions 

Steal your sanity drown your will to fly 

As the dark night of the soul 

Finds peace, comfort and solitude 

Inside the beauty of darkness 

As the night slowly unfolds
