I Dated My Mate

I dated my mate
It wasn't great
It was a mistake
That I dated my mate 
I wish I had not
Because it ruined our lot
And turned our love sour
Hour by hour
So I took a deep breath
To tell him how I felt
When I heard him say.......
I'm so sorry
But it has to end
Because I hated dating my best friend!!
I cried all night, but not because I was sad
but because he had dumped me first 
and  this had made me mad!
