A Day At The Nursery

The nursery walls, began to glow, live even
Animals began taking form, gray geese steaming
A blue tiger smiled, jubilant giraffes
Lilac panthers cavorting in crystal substances
The French doors glass, looking out over color and fantasy
Bicycles breaking through well oiled sprockets
And the walls breathed, oh so deeply
The nursery floor, patterned to resemble, a crisp, cereal meadow
Above it all, ran restless roaches, and crazy crickets
The heated air was still, and butterflies of delicate rose colored seed
Wavered among the cheddar aroma of animal spoors
There was the patter of okapi feet and the listless murmur of fresh
Jungle rain, like horses hooves
Padding upon the starched summer grass, alas
The guards came running, urging the children forward
Timing their every movement, to coincide with what nature had intent
This little paradise of lustrous color and looming tropical scent
Where the children played and made a day of it
Had finally come to an end, and made wonder
Shall I, come back again
And spend my day
Just watching
And letting my troubles
Fade away?
Indeed, a pleasant day.........

It is non invasive so after I come out of anesthesia well, I will be home by tomorrow night.
