Poem -
Dead Fools
And now
the end is near
as we face
the final curtain..
The barbarians at the gate
were invited in
that much is certain..
The carnage they will bring
can not be overstated..
Now comes the tragic irony
to our little horror story..
Seems our ruination
as a functioning nation
was self inflicted
by ignorant fools..
Hey.. It's majority rules..
The tyranny of the stupid..
But we of the now pissed minority
are not absolved of blame..
Our apathy and arrogance
to the threat we knew was there
makes our collective death
a case of suicide by mass negligence..
So let our epitaph say
when historians sift though
the rubble ashes of the U.S.A.
We imploded our way

It's is, and all always will be, a world without end, yes, there will be fire but humanity will rise from the ashes of ignorance and stupidity.
I hope we are allowed to shower first, because those ashes are not good for the hair follicles :)
At 72 yrs old. I remember a time when most Americans were politically in the center. Either center right, or center left. Typical bell curve. These people could talk to each other, compromise. Today IMHO things are skewed to the political edges left or right with no ability to communicate with each other.
We need to find our way back to the center again.
I could not agree more.. Unfortunately in today's social media world, the squeaky wheel zealots not only get the bulk of attention they are holding both political parties hostage because the leaders lack to the political courage
to drive these extreme elements back to the shadows where they resided for decades..
A third party fusion ticket of disaffected moderate Republicans and Democrats would be the obvious solution but unfortunately the system is so rigged against a third party forming it's almost impossible

Parents don't surprise me...
Many sell or rent their kids...
They don't hold much status...
If it wasn't for their kids a lot of them wouldn't be able to eat...
They're are some great parents...
We know them because, they didn't fall for any of it in the first place...
