Dear Dr. Seuss

Dear Dr. Seuss

How do you do it
Creating characters so splendid
Your imagination digs deep and comes back with a Zode
Mine gets distracted somewhere along the road
And only brings forth a toad
I try telling my imagination a toad already exists
But that it doesn't my imagination persists
"Can your toad jump very high?"
"Yes," i say, "almost to the sky."
"How about make a funny croaking sound?"
"Yes, all year round."
"I'm sure your toad cannot swim"
But that it can i tell him
I give up trying to reason
Because my imagination is very stubborn
Maybe i should just leave creating curious characters up to you
A wonderful job you seem to do
