Dear Sister

There you stood in front of me,
not a whisper, not a tear.
Moving forward, I reached for you,
I trembled with so much fear.
Who is this girl in front of me?
Her hands stayed by her side.
Wishing words would fall from her mouth,
What does she have to hide?
Our meeting around the table,
tears shed, papers signed.
Surrounded by these four walls,
this room we were confined.
There stood a wall between us,
the second time we met.
We're under one roof with Daddy,
it's him we can't forget.
I met you once again as I
approached with so much fear.
Will my sister see me?
Or is she really scared?
Where were you my dear sister,
I needed you by my side.
With secrets in our hearts,
it's in you, I must confide.
We share one soul together,
Forever he is now gone.
I needed you dear sister,
to help me stay strong.
You lost an angel too,
I know this, I am here.
For you my dear sister,
I'll keep you close and near.
My heart is still empty,
your being, still unknown.
Where were you my dear sister,
while I walked the walk alone?
I never got to meet you,
a figure left unsaid.
In my thoughts I'll keep you,
until we meet again.
