Poem -

Dear Summer Nights,

By: Ashlyn Mancini

Dear Summer Nights,

Let the sun sink slow

and fill the sky with colors so bright.

Let me see her golden glow

and feel her fading light.

Summer nights, summer nights

create a perfect scene.

Perfectly Piercing beams shine through the trees,

riding on a brisk summer breeze.

Carefully glide into night,

igniting the stars along the way.

Let my worries vanish from sight.

Let my troubles slip away.

Let a quiet calm set in

and the moonlight softly kiss my skin.

Let the fireflies dance in the sky

and the peepers sing me a lullaby.

Let me dance in your gleaming lights.

Let your shining stars shimmer just for me.

Summer nights, summer nights

paint this picture for me.
