death calls

a smile in pain
a tear in vain
wasted every bit of this sinful body here
i have left blood on the doormat
where my old dog sat
and it gave me a farewell
as i set for a new sail
the dog wagged it's old tail
soon it will join me
passing through me
is the flux of higher energy
calling me to the other side
free from the cage of bones
it is the time to repay the loans
i borrowed from the universe
i will be invisible and weightless like light
nothing would trespass my ears and eyes
and most importantly , my heart ....

Greetings Meenakshi,
Promised myself a good nights sleep and if i don't watch out the day will have slipped up on me but your poem is one that answers practically all things related to our lives, that we hold to as important and the introduction to death ,(as we know it and as we expect it to be), as it awaits our cross over to he, the ruler of the afterlife, (death). A reservation that will be fulfilled but hopes and dreams of a better life to exist after. We will hope to have dawned and hastily passed through his door, to our awaiting destination. To this world i have no desire for a life of replenishment, my only regrets are of those lost and just as i, soon to be, no longer part of this present but now, (a thing of the past). A recorded memory in time, awaiting now my new beginning and new lease on a life waiting to be adorned, as though a crown of valor...A pretty seed you have sowed into a poem of sheer enjoyment, by its readers, you now have placed yourself in the position, to have to plant another seed, in the garden of this site, in order to please and quiet the crowd you have gathered in wake of your works... Good job..
Take Care,
Jim
thanks everybody.. i ll come up with more.. and i ll read more poem here .. :)
You are very much welcome and the gesture to read and comment, was one that was truly generous by you, many more need to follow your lead as well. You are one who believes not, to take from the pot, without returning to it...Extremely thoughtful..Wish all on this site was that way in deed...........
Kind regards,
Jim
