Death By Your Tongue

Death By Your Tongue

You spit it out before you knew what you said.

Your tongue is more powerful than the sharpness of a blade.

You cut my heart with your words and it made it stop beating.

My lungs started to collapse and I began to have difficulty breathing.

You spurred those words like it was nothing to it.

Your tongue, that evil beast, just encouraged you to do it.

I didn’t know what I did to deserve such a plight.

Your tongue, that monstrosity of a thing, removed my sight.

Now, I lay here six-feet under my senses.

I am still wondering why your tongue did this.

Your tongue, that double-edge sword, killed me with its words and now I am scorned.
