Deaths silence sentence

Deaths silence sentence

As death nears the silence begins a fade like life once so dear
dependent upon the joy and pain that creep in and pierce
Finally the peace one search’s now so close the soul of the feet start burning
The emotions that once went wild as the senses begin churning
trying to understand what’s next is it over or am I moving on to something more not death but higher learning
I wished for quiet until I found loneliness with no reprieve
Now it’s just me but I hear the sound of the trumpets on deaths door and it’s peaceful so I won’t turn my back I won’t leave
or try to extend this stay when I know what’s on the other side waiting for me
Now instead of a calendar of days I keep track of the dreams I collect and page
I count the minutes that are fewer with an aware state
The time One spends performing in dreams stage
Life began the struggle to hear and see
so ones stay counts for as much at least qualified more than nothing
For its my dreams I take while the pain fades as my body falls into sleep forgetting life’s age
That slippery silence that guides and thrives when one wakes to live or just survive
The knock that picks the lock
and takes ones soul ready or not
There it went hopefully to that heavenly gods sent
Will I find sound ever again or was I meant
to find that begging silence to fade until I’ve no sounds to sense
As I entered I grasped that first breathe in
As I leave I gasp that one last spin so to find the truth of silence right where I began
