DEEP SECRETS

Down, deep in us all

Dark secrets walk.

We think about them

But dare not talk.

Secrets are always ready you see

Because a stray little word

Can let a secret go free.

Secrets can break a heart

Or spread vicious lies.

They can fell a strong man

For they accept no compromise.

Secrets always yearn to be free.

Secrets want to be heard

Secrets need you

And they need me.

They are desperate  to grow

So they quietly call.

Floating and whispering in the darkness

Barely heard by us all.

In silence they walk

They can blacken the heart of a man.

Secrets spread quickly

Because they know that they can.

Secrets of innocence

Passion or lust.

Secrets lurking

Hidden amongst the dust.

Secrets are always ready to dance

They`re always ready to fly and be free.

Secrets live to cause trouble for you and for me.
