Poem -
Battle Lines
No one can dispute what defines this era
Could these battle lines be any clearer ?
Evil is trying to undermine free societies
Seeking to escalate fears and insecurities
By using terrorism as its weapon of choice
At each crime against humanity it does rejoice.

A titanic global struggle goodness endures
To eradicate the grand design evil procures
All brave souls needing to answer the call
Defending freedom to force evils withdrawal
The challenge of our age many eager to meet
They know full well the unbearable price of defeat.

an age old story.. no point in time has interaction between people led to utopia and peace and civility ... we cant get along but we can bide our time till we feel strong and then rise up. terrorism is not new and it depends on who is loud enough to be heard and listened to in deciding who the terrorist is . I don't want peace on earth because it never existed ..I want people to admit that hate exist and we all experience it as proponents at one time and victims another time .
Terrorism is the contempt for human dignity.
If we say terrorism is a characteristic of man that can't be eradicated then all hope of mankind progressing and surviving is lost. Terrorism is the weapon of soulless evil that has no consideration or respect for others. The battle to maintain human dignity is the battle against murderous savagery as displayed so many times recently. Because terrorism existed in the past and because it exists now does not mean it has to exist in the future. Humans can evolve beyond this mindless behaviour.
the thing with the definition of a terrorist is those that back them see them as freedom fighters... the same freedom fighters are also terrorist to someone else.... its just semantics .... we all have the capacity to do good and to do bad... the biggest issue is how you define good or bad...they are not natural things they are learned philosophical things
A terrorist kills innocents whilst freedom fighters battle state/government forces to liberate people from oppression ! ISIS are terrorists whilst the French Resistance against Nazi oppression were freedom fighters. I see a clear distinction. You may not.

I loathe terrorists that claim to be acting in the name of religion ! I want the basis of their ideology and the factors leading to their evil to be eliminated from existence !
There is no reasoning behind the killing or maiming of innocents.
