Definitions

Yesterday I got out of bed
Changed out of my pajamas and into fresh clothes
Splashed water on my face and cleaned my teeth
I laced up my own shoes, i crawled into the bathroom 
You and I have different definitions of a good day 

Last week I attended school and pushed my own wheels
I focused harder than ever, tried not to faint in the corridor 
The next day I cuddled my dog and slurred my words
I sat up to take medication, i crawled into the bathroom
You and I have different definitions of proud

Tomorrow might be better
Tomorrow maybe il make it to maths, stay awake long enough to eat 
Maybe il text a friend or laugh with my mum 
Maybe il wash my hair after crawling into the bathroom 
You and I have different definitions of hope

But Tomorrow might not be great 
Maybe I wont get out of bed or even comb my hair
What if I can barely talk, I cant sit up without collapsing 
What if I cant think straight or even crawl to the bathroom 
You and I have different definitions of normality

you think that a plan is something to stick to 
I make plans only to cancel them 
When you feel energetic you might be ready to hit the gym
When I feel energetic I have the energy to listen to music on my phone 
You think tiered is needing to rest
im tiered so tiered it hurts
So tiered i had to abandon my old life
I'm tiered but it never goes away

you think definitions come from the dictionary
but i think they come from experience
