Demons

Piercing bright through the sky,
No bed time story of lullaby,
Escaping all the monsters beneath,
Under her bed
Crawling in her skin.
Biting off flesh-they hit the core,
The pain now tender and raw,
Like a bee that’s lost their path,
A lonely weed surrounded by plants.
An empty bottle on the side
-Couldn’t be stopped even if you tried,
Emptiness is the enemy here,
All sounds cower and humanity hear.
Breaking through the isolated cage,
The pure white light fades to red,
Strangers surrounding asking her age,
It was the demons inside her head.
