My Fear

A poem based on the Covid 19 Emergency

My Fear

Who would have thought

that one small communicative gesture,
like a hug or a hand-shake

would be now prohibited

and that one small gesture

could cost the lives of so many.

I often think about when the world will resume

and how society will have changed.

All I know is that some people I once hugged and kissed

won't be there.

Being Me

I cannot believe I missed this little gem of a poem! I only saw it because I just commented in your latest poem.  You express the sentiments that we all feel in a very poetic way x
