Poem -

Depression

You stole my innocence, you stole my prideĀ
You stole my happiness, and watched as I cried
You stole my thought, you stole my mindĀ
You stole my education, you stole my lifeĀ
You stole my motivation, you stole my friendsĀ
You stood and watched all my relationships end
You took my dreams and, you kept them
You took my laugh, and made it dark
My family and friends cried, you let themĀ
And on me you left your markĀ
You kept on stealing until there was nothing left andĀ
Not even a heavy heart to hold in my empty chestĀ
You kept on taking until you took it allĀ
You were my one, big, huge, down fallĀ
You took everything, and you ignored my plea
You stole everything, you stole me.
