Poem -

DERAILED

Minds eye now
I am a crow
I cannot fly

I cannot go
Once true and proud
Solitary
Free
Life's burdens now
Have captured me
Clawing helpless
Wings impaled

On life's silver spike
I am
Derailed
See it coming
Huge wingspan
Engulfed in shadow
HelpΒ
Or harm?
Floundering broken
Terrified too
Wonder will life
Or death
Win through
Resigned and calm
I have no fight
My blood willΒ
End
This tortured night
