Poem -

desperate solitude .

When the night comes knocking
Upon frost bitten doors

And smoke scatters the air

Such a desperate solitude
For a lost soul to bear

The creaking of the veranda
Swinging rocking chair

Tapping on the window
The willow branches fair

Dripping drops of moisture
Covering the ground

Silence is Erie

No other sound

Darkness knocking on the door
Swinging rocking chair

Tapping willow branches
causing despair

Smoke rising
Suffocating air

creaking veranda
Silence hard to bear

desperate solitude
For a lost soul to bear

When the frost bitten night
Seeks your soul to share .
