Poem -

Destroy What You Create

You live in a portrait that hangs in my mind
Inside of my head your heart is alive
In reality you are not even true
A figment of love that I mentally drew

You are so lucid, clear, and complete
Simplicity saturates and radiates in me
It's your picture I hold that sets me free
Its your picture I hold, so close to me

I wanted a love, so perfect and true
The type of love I plant and grew
Inside my jar, your soul, it shines
Inside my heart, your love, it binds

When reality strikes, I wipe the tears
Because you are a fraud, you are not pure
You are something I can only create
You are my own insanity acknowledging fate

I break the frame that holds your face
I destroy the jar which your soul is embraced
Into the abyss you are lost and missed
I erase what I create without a good-bye kiss

She is my love, she lives in my mind

The loop of destruction, peril so fine

I must start over, create her from scratch

Insanity brings perfection, I drown in the craft
