Destroyer of Families

Destroyer of Families

You have an illness that you keep denying,
Drinking yourself to death, which leaves me crying,
Destroying our family just a little at a time,
And then you wonder why I can't dry my eyes.

Is it too much to ask for you to get help?
Isn't our kids worth more than just yourself?
Why can't you wake up and see the destruction?
I wish you could see this corruption.

I'm praying you will one day soon realize,
For time is precious with our children's lives,
And the hope I hold to is your sobriety,
To be a family again with peace as society.

Hi  Denise  Great piece! I can only imagine how soul destroying
and destructive alcohol abuse is to the family of the the abuser
with them not realizing how much pain they cause
You addressed this subject perfectly
Best Wishes
