" The Devil's In The Alcove "

In the alcove of the church, I spied a crime
A parishioner stealing money
From a friendly woman's purse
Does the Devil need to bring it to
The foundation of her unsuspecting faith
For when she got home that night
From her knees she had to explain
To friends and family
How she was robbed at Church
That day
Does God wish these lessons
To be passed down
For generations
Or do we ever truly get it right
And learn the lesson
Careful sister!
The Devil's in the alcove
Of every working
Church....
