Diary of a sad black woman

Diary of a sad black woman

This is me, this is she who
like a love stricken teen shattered by a dream
Stomach churning while the heart is still yearning for love
Head spinning while the eyes see you
A Man walking away
While I shrink into a little girl lost
hoping and praying you'd stay
The happiness rots
The grown woman suffers
Mentally distant
While traces of self lingers
A seesaw Depression
Gives me less hope
and growth
seems unlikely
A lifeless body
"God, help me !"
Afer I am done with praying
Cradling in the cold dark, a twinkling
light defeats my fading eyes
A crown bursting with pride, kept singing
A voice within, made me cry
And told me to never let your soul die
