Dignity

Examining societies and culture from where I stand,

There are millions who cry out for a helping hand !

They do not ask for assistance in speeches or writing.

Their struggles against the odds are worth applauding !

They live in poverty or fear with no time to complain.

It is up to those most fortunate to help alleviate pain !

Human beings need to feel a true part of civilization,

Not ignored by those who are in a privileged position !

It is time by action to eliminate exploitation and greed.

We need a future where a right to dignity is guaranteed !
