Dinner time

Chicken tonight? 
 
“Abattoirs are the stuff of nightmares. Frightened chickens are shackled by their legs and hung upside down. Then, they are gassed or stunned or their heads are plunged into an electrified bath. Because the automated slaughter lines don't always work as intended, many birds are still conscious when their throats are cut, and others die from being scalded alive in the feather-removal water tanks after missing the blade.”
