As I see my days of immobility approaching
I consider myself a fortunate man
For to live daily as such, is empowering
My mind is on fire and I like who I am
For many poets not only, as Hamlet
Puts it to the players
"..Holds the mirror up to nature
And shows nature her own features."
We are blessed with this beautiful language
The way poets have shown us down through the ages
We show them our praise by reading their creations
With our alert senses, open minds, and personal ovations
My disability has taught me to appreciate myself
When, as a cocky young man, I held such selfishness
But these days, alone in my room, I find I have a wealth
Found from the Love of poets here, in our little runnel
This place I find sacred, my family here ~ on Cosmofunnel...
