Poem -

DISHEARTENED DRIFTER

Baby you're my home
I don't wanna face myself alone... anymore
I know you want a rock
But will you settle for a rolling stone?

I know you like the surfer boys
I been riding them couches, moving from home to home
I know you hateĀ childish games
I'm here to tell you that I'm grown
I might be washed up, have drifted from shore to shore
There's no doubt he's better looking,
Ā that he can offer you more, but

Baby you're my home and
I don't wanna face myself alone
I know you want a rock
But how about a rolling stone?

So tell me now is it him, is it me?
I can write you this song, bout how it's gonna be
Play this guitar, tell your there's hope, I'm going farĀ
Baby I promise I ain't gonna fight no more at the local bar
Almost killed a man once, just to watch him die
But something struck a chord with me the day I saw you cry

Baby you're my home
I don't wanna face myself alone... anymore
I know you want a rock
But will you settle baby, for a has been rolling stone?
