Disillusioned Fish

I suffer fools
better than most
cause I've been immersed
in this sea of stupidity
for so long
I may as well
be one of the dumb ass fish..

I've long ago
given up the foolish dream
of a benevolent net
swooping down
to scoop me away
from this muddied scene
of unrelenting nonsense

The layers of dumbness
in this stagnant pool
is that thick

We prisoners of mass ignorance
gotta adapt to our environment
and take small victories
in daily survival
