Disillusioned Fish

I suffer fools
better than most
cause I've been immersed
in this sea of stupidity
for so long
I may as well
be one of the dumbass fish..

I've long ago
given up the foolish dream
of a benevolent net
swooping down
to scoop me away
from this unrelenting nonsense..

We prisoners of mass ignorance
gotta adapt to our environment
and take small victories
in daily survival
