Do Black Lives Matter

Do Black lives matter, to who do you pose this question, to the ones who kill -n- arrest us, or to those who educate -n- oppress us, we kill each other, but we get arrested, two lives gone, are you getting the message, 400 years of slavery and they’re still using some of their old methods, no our lives don’t matter, it’s the truth even though it may be hard to accept it, who’s our enemy is the question, the truth’s undressing while the lies are manifesting, we’re killing each other, but we get arrested, two lives gone, are you getting the message, they kill us -n- get acquitted -n- get away with our bloodshed, then we burn down -n- destroy our own neighborhoods -n- not theirs, so they laugh -n- publicize on their news -n- newspapers, how we handle our affairs, mothers cry, whole communities left in despair, we all inhale the hate -n- the air, a few people of purpose make an appearance here -n- there, a family may get a lawsuit, government done made so much money off the publicity, they will give up a few million dollars -n- kill another one of us next week, to show they don’t care, write it off on their taxes, everybody breaking bread from the governor, to the judges, to the mayor, 400 years of hate -n- the air, history keeps repeating itself, Do Black lives matter, I would be lying if I said yeah, and I would be lying to myself, Do Black lives matter, to who do you pose this question, to the ones who kill -n- arrest us, or to those who educate -n- oppress us, we kill each other, but we get arrested, two lives gone, are you getting the message, Do Black lives matter, to you I pose this question.

It’s up to us to make them matter
