Do you have a wish?
I wish to forget the pain, but I want to be reminded of my scars.
I want to eat cake, but don't want to gain weight.
I want you to be happy, but I don't know how to do that.
I want to be happy, but can't tell the truth.
I want to be loved, but don't know if you can.

Crisiant Davies, I like this, especially the first three lines, they are exceptional, your use of language is a compliment to poetry, and the last two lines are so unusual; not sure if you're just trying to be too profound or clever, or the reader just isn't 'getting the meaning' anyway, something is lost in translation between reader and poet, yet so much to appreciate as well with the poem as a whole....Β enjoyable read, cheersΒ
