SO......DOG/CAT MEAT TRADE
So
This truth has changed me
I no longer smile
Or live in the moment
Or forgetÂ
For a while
And
If sometimes
Just sometimes
I experience joy
It is short-lived
And empty
Troubled minds decoy
For my heart soon reminds me
Of the terrible facts
And I think of you
Conscious
Skin torn off your backs
You suffering
There
​​​Short lives filled with despair
​​​​​Crowded cages and dirt
Evil hands
That so hurt
You
Powerless, helpless
Such innocent things
So callously tortured
For fur and for skins
And my cosy world crumbles
No moment of peace
For I think of youÂ
There
Right now
Screaming
Bloody
Skinned alive
For your fleece.
